  • Bikini

Bikini is for athletes with an athletic, feminine physique and an emphasis on shape, balance, and confident stage presentation.

Best suited for: athletic shape, good proportions, lighter muscularity, strong presentation.

Not suited for: heavy muscle mass, very hard / dry conditioning, deep striations.

  • Toned Figure

Toned Figure is a step above Bikini in muscularity and definition, while still keeping an athletic and feminine overall look.

Best suited for: more muscle and definition than Bikini, clear lines, balanced physique.

Not suited for: very high muscularity, extreme leanness / hardness, pronounced striations.

  • Trained Figure

Trained Figure is for athletes with noticeably higher muscular development, structure, and conditioning than Toned Figure.

Best suited for: higher muscle development, clear structure, stronger conditioning and detail.

Not suited for: competitors who fit better in Toned due to lower muscle or softer conditioning.

  • Physique

Men’s Physique is for athletes with an athletic, well-proportioned upper body, a small waist, and an overall “beach fit” look—without the extreme size, hardness, or mass of bodybuilding.

Best suited for: athletic physiques with strong proportions and a pronounced V-taper.

Not suitable for: heavily muscled or extremely conditioned bodybuilding physiques.

  • Classic

Men’s Classic is for athletes who display a balanced, aesthetic bodybuilding physique with emphasis on shape, symmetry, and proportion, rather than maximum muscle mass.

The class rewards a classic bodybuilding look, combining muscular development with clean lines and controlled conditioning, within height-to-weight limits.

  • Open 1,2,3,4

These are traditional open bodybuilding categories divided by height only. There are no weight limits. Athletes are grouped solely by height to ensure fair comparison on stage.

  • Junior

This class is for younger competitors who are under the specified age limit on the day of the show and are developing their physique within a competitive bodybuilding environment.

The class is designed to encourage progression, good structure, and balanced development, while recognising that Junior athletes are still in the earlier stages of their competitive careers.

  • Masters

These are age-based categories designed for experienced competitors aged 40 and above, grouped by age to ensure fair comparison on stage.
